You may encounter a dispute that you cannot resolve without expert advice and assistance: you may be facing a claim or demand or believe you have a claim against others.

Whatever the circumstances our litigation team will give you prompt and expert advice on your dispute and the appropriate way forward. If necessary we will engage the assistance of other professionals, including expert barristers, to assist. We will identify the merits of the situation and concentrate on achieving a satisfactory and cost-effective solution.

Many disputes can be resolved without the need for court proceedings but if they are necessary or unavoidable we will advise you as to the litigation process and explore your options, the associated risks and the possible costs. Even after proceedings are issued most claims are resolved outside the courts and our litigation team are experienced in dispute resolution through negotiation, mediation and arbitration.

We will discuss the likely cost of any option with you to ensure you are happy with any costs you may incur. We will also consider whether alternative funding, such as insurance cover, is available and whether a conditional fee agreement (“no win, no fee”) may be appropriate. We do not carry out Civil Litigation and Dispute resolution work under public funding (legal aid).
